Fun in the Rainbow: Color Me Run

The Supreme Student Government (SSG) of Agay National High School in cooperation with the Barkada Kontra Druga (BKD) welcomes the Nutrition Month celebration with an exciting physical fitness activity. The said event has been dubbed as Fun in the Rainbow: Color Me Run.

It was an ambitious event conceptualized by Ms. Allane Marie Man-on, the SSG Vice President. It requires a lot of time, money and human resource. The rest of the SSG officers together with the Barkada Kontra Druga (BKD) Officers helped in realizing the said event with their joint effort in selling tickets to finance the activity and in facilitating the whole event. The BKD officers were in charge of the nine stations where the runners get wet and get colored. They also set some obstacles in each stations to add fun and excitement. The SSG Peace Officer Mr. James Carl Ado was in charged in coordinating with the Police Officers to secure the safety of all participants. The secretariat was spearheaded by the SSG Secretary Ms. Kyle Talle while the SSG Treasurer Ms. Raggane Villarejo was in charge of the food committee.

The Fun started at 5:00 o’clock in the morning with the majority of the school population where everyone bears an unexplainable excitement because it was their first time to experience such activity that they only see in television. The adviser of SSG, Mr. Jayson Patalinghug and the adviser of BKD, Mrs. Bria Singson were also very early to oversee the entire event.

“The experience was entirely new to me, it was fun and a bit adventurous” said Cathy Cate Canlas, a grade 11 EIM student. Everybody was full of sweat with a big grin on each face as they reached the finish line and joined the ZUMBA party prepared by the Agay NHS Dance Troupe spearheaded by their adviser Ms. Derica Mae Asilum.

The said activity ended at 7:30 in the morning and was followed by the opening program of Nutrition Month Celebration. It was indeed fun and exciting and the students are expecting more as the year unfolds.
